Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is a song written primarily by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCartney, for The Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This album became the biggest selling album of the 1960s and remains today the biggest selling studio album in countries as far apart as the UK and India.
Lennon's son, Julian, inspired the song with a nursery school drawing he called "Lucy — in the sky with diamonds". Shortly after the song's release, speculation arose that the first letter of each of the title's nouns intentionally spelled LSD. Although Lennon denied this, the BBC banned the song.
In a 2004 interview, Paul McCartney said that the song is about LSD, stating, "A song like 'Got to Get You Into My Life,' that's directly about pot, although everyone missed it at the time." "Day Tripper," he says, "that's one about acid. 'Lucy in the Sky,' that's pretty obvious. There's others that make subtle hints about drugs, but, you know, it's easy to overestimate the influence of drugs on the Beatles' music."
respeto las opiniones de todos, creo q la cancion lucy in the sky .. es una cancion, de ahi a que la interpretemos de otra manera es diferente, creo que hay muchas cosas mas importantes que fijarse en los mensajes subliminales de las canciones de los beatles, por que no te vas a fijar en los mensajes subliminales de las canciones de justin bieber? mas que palabras tambien esta la musica, y no podemos en los tiempos que corren pretender q todos hagan lo q uno quiere, creo que mientras a mi me guste escuchar la MUSICA de los beatles y a vos te GUSTE buscar mensajes subliminales en las canciones no perjudicamos a nadie. aparte me encanta fumarme un porro escuchando rubber soul, y que?eso no significa que sea una ignorante y una drogadicta , claro que probe el lsd y no soy adicta,vos tenes una foto de perfil de blog tomando vino, podria decir que sos un borracho, las apariencias a simple vista engañan no? , no necesito wikipedia para darme cuenta de las cosas,pero acepto opiniones y criticas, en fin soy una persona.igual gracias x la informacion, ya me anote en un centro de desintoxicacion saque turno para una lobotomia y fui a misa.
